The biodiversity is very important in São Tomé which is by far one of the richest sites in the African coasts . These islands are actually the only place on the eastern part of the Atlantic Ocean to have a real coral reef.

This beautiful ecosystem is home to a wide variety of resident tropical fish, like trumpet fish, surgeon fish, moray eels, angel fish, and others. Of course you can also cross with different types of turtles, sharks and even whales.

There is also space for the little and tiny animals, some of them make the joy of the photographs like the wonderful sea horses of the Lagoa Azul.
